NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Town of Stockton Comprehensive Plan/Future
Land use Map and Zoning ordinance Amendment
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Stockton, Portage County, Wisconsin,
will be holding a Public Hearing on a proposed amendment to its Comprehensive Plan/Future
Land Use Map on October 6th, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Town of Stockton Town Hall, 7252 6th
Street, Custer, WI, 54423.
The Town of Stockton Plan Commission met August 14th, 2025, to recommend an amendment to
the Town of Stockton Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation on the Future Land
Use Map of 11.04 acres included in parcel #034240927-11 from L2 Intermediate Agriculture to
L3 Limited Agriculture/Mixed Use. The Plan Commission will forward their approval
recommendation to the Town Board.
This change in land use designation is necessary to allow for the property owner to request a
rezoning of the same 11.04 acres from A2 Agriculture Transition to A3 Low Density Agricultural.
The Stockton Plan Commission also recommended approval of the rezoning request and will
forward their approval recommendation to the Stockton Town Board. Both Plan Commission
recommendations will be on the agenda of the Stockton Town Board meeting on October 6th,
2025.
