Notice of Public Hearing – Town of Stockton Comprehensive Plan/Future Land use Map and Zoning Ordinance Amendment

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Stockton, Portage County, Wisconsin, will be holding a Public Hearing on a proposed amendment to its Comprehensive Plan/Future Land Use Map on July 27th, 2021, at 6:30 PM at the Town of Stockton Town Hall, 7252 6th Street, Custer, WI, 54423.

The Town of Stockton Plan Commission met June 9th, 2021 to recommend an amendment to the Town of Stockton Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation on Future Land Use Map 8.3 for Parcel #034-23-0914-07.04 (2.29 acres) from Residential to L3 (Limited Agriculture/Mixed Use) and Parcel #034-23-0914-06.02 (1.03 acres) from Residential to L3 (Limited Agriculture/Mixed Use). The Plan Commission will forward their approval recommendation to the Stockton Town Board.

This change in land use designation is necessary to allow for the property owner to request a rezoning of the same parcels respectively, as follows: 2.29 acres from R1 to A3 and 1.03 acres from R1 to A3.   The Stockton Plan Commission also recommended approval of the rezoning request and will forward their approval recommendation to the Stockton Town Board.  All Plan Commission recommendations will be on the agenda of the Stockton Town Board meeting on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021.
