Land use Map and Zoning ordinance Amendment

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Stockton, Portage County, Wisconsin, will be holding a Public Hearing on a proposed amendment to its Comprehensive Plan/Future Land Use Map on July 11th, 2022, at 6:30 PM at the Town of Stockton Town Hall, 7252 6th Street, Custer, WI, 54423.

The Town of Stockton Plan Commission met June 1st, 2022, to recommend an amendment to the Town of Stockton Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation on Future Land Use Map 8.3 for Parcel #034-24-0931:12 (37.09 acres) from L1 to L3, Parcel #034-24-0931:11 (35.75 acres) from L1/Residential to L3, and Parcel #034-24-0931:11.01 (.86 acres) from Residential to L3. The Plan Commission will forward their approval recommendation to the Town Board.

This change in land use designation is necessary to allow for the property owner to request a rezoning of the same parcels respectively, as follows: Parcel #034-24-0931:12 from A1 Exclusive Agricultural to A3 Low Density Agricultural, Parcel #034-24-0931:11 from A1 Exclusive Agricultural to A3 Low Density Agricultural, and Parcel #034-24-0931:11.01 from A1 Exclusive Agricultural to A3 Low Density Agricultural. The Stockton Plan Commission also recommended approval of the rezoning request and will forward their approval recommendation to the Stockton Town Board.  All Plan Commission recommendations will be on the agenda of the Stockton Town Board meeting on Monday, July 11th, 2022.
